A committee composed of H. A. Brinser '31, W. H. Melish '31, and M. F. Lowenstein '32, representing the Harvard Socialist Club, will appear before a hearing of a bill on militarism in public schools in Massachusetts at the State House in Boston this morning to register their protest. The Socialist Club has taken the stand that military training in all its forms seeks to idealize war, and is therefore inconsistent with the Kellogg Peace Pact.
Over 700 Freshmen have signed the petition protesting against military training in the colleges and universities of the country that is now being circulated among the students of the College by the Socialist Club, who plan to send this signed protest to the U.S. Senate.
