In an attempt to avenge its 11 to 2 loss at the hands of the Red and Blue nine two weeks ago, the University baseball team will meet the Pennsylvania team at Philadelphia today. The Crimson men left Cambridge last night and will arrive in Philadelphia late this morning.

In all probability Devens will begin today's contest on the mound. If he can repeat the performance he gave last Saturday against Dartmouth the game will probably resolve itself into a pitchers' battle between him and either Peterson or Masters.

In his last two games Devens has shown considerable improvement over his early season form. In spite of his wildness last Saturday he held the Indian batters, victors over Penn. To six hits and in Wednesday's game after relieving MacHale he allowed only one hit to the opposing batters in 4 and 2-3 innings.

The Harvard nine has changed greatly since Penn walked away with the game at Soldiers Field. The infield has improved considerably although the batting suffered a setback when Sondheim, the Brown twirler held the Crimson hitters to five safe hits.

After today's game the University team will board the train for Syracuse where it will play tomorrow.
