At Dartmouth, a number of male campus celebrities are busily engaged in the introduction of "short pants" as daily wearing apparel. At Cornell, an anonymous contributor to The Sun has gained considerable publicity by advocating the establishment of "beer gardens" at that institution.
Such things make entertaining news material and perhaps gain a certain notoriety which pleases the leaders in these "auti-convention" and "progressive" movements. Nevertheless, we wonder if the talents of individuals on a college campus could not be directed to more useful projects? --The Daily Orange (Syracuse).
