Including in its program two original compositions, one written by an undergraduate and the other by a graduate member of the organization, the Harvard Musical Club will present its twenty-second annual concert in Paine Hall this evening at 8 o'clock. Seventeenth century harpsichord pieces will be featured in addition to the original works.
The Musical Club was organized 32 years ago, with John Knowles Paine as its first president. It was formed for the promotion of musical knowledge and appreciation in the University by the performance of musical literature, the discussion of subjects, and the encouragement of original works by members of the University. It is the oldest club of its sort in the country.
