An exhibition of 40 Chinese paintings and drawings, the productions of Teng Kwei 1G, noted artist, who has used the finger method as well as the brush method in his works of art, is being held at the Twentieth Century Club, on Jey Street in Boston. The showing will last until May 16.
Teng-Kwei came to the United States as a teacher at the University of Washington, and at the present time he is a graduate student in the field of Fine Arts on the Harvard-Yenching Foundation Despite the fact that he has never had a teacher but has drawn his instruction from the old masters of Chinese painting. Teng-Kwei is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and has been acclaimed all over the United States.
Among the paintings in this present exhibition, "Tranquillity", the study of a goddess, is done in a minimum of lines and yet is of extreme beauty.
