Plans for the graduation festivities to be held at the Harvard Dental School during Commencement. Week were announced Saturday by Dr. V. C. Carpenter, who is of the committee in charge of the affairs. Details given out include plans for the Senior Dinner Dance, the Alumni outing, and the Alumni business meeting.
The Senior dinner dance, which corresponds to the Senior Spread in the College will be held this year at some hotel in Boston on the evening of Monday, June 16. The dance, as formerly, will be run by members of the school, who give the dance in honor of the Senior Class, and will take place on the same night-that, the College Seniors convene in Memorial Hall.
Outing to be Held
The following two days the Dental School Alumni Association will hold its annual outing, to which all men who ever went to the Dental School as well as all of the Senior class will be invited.
This year Scituate will be the scene of this annual outing. On Tuesday, June 17, alumni of the School will meet at the Cliff House for the annual banquet. Although speakers for this dinner have not yet been selected, it is customary to have prominent graduates as well as leaders in this branch of medicine to talk to the gathering. A golf tournament, as well as tennis and water sports have been scheduled for recreation.
Due to the fact that there are only about 20 members in the graduating class this year, the festivities will be on a smaller scale than usual. The extreme sliminess of numbers is noticeable for the first time because this year's Senior class is the first class to graduate having entered the School under the rulings made in 1926 requiring at least two years' attendance in a college of Arts and Sciences for admission to the Dental School.
