On Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock in Sever 36 trials will be held for the annual French declamation contest, known as the "Concours Oratoric pour la Medaille France-Amerique."

Candidates at this time will be requested to speak in French for five minutes on some French topic, and six men will be chosen for the finals, which are scheduled to take place sometime in May. Names of all planning to compete must be sent before the trials to Professor L. J. A. Mercier in Holyoke House.

The prize, in the form of a medal to be awarded to the successful contestant speaking in the finals "on some subject drawn from the history of French civilization", was established in 1918 by the Comite France-Amerique.
