R. B. ECKLES '32 VOTED MEDAL IN PASTEUR DEBATE FINALS

Robert Bower Eckles '32, of York, Nebraska, was the winner of the medal in the Pasteur Debate finals held last evening in Fogg Museum. Honorable mention went to Paul Cashman Reardon '32, of Quincy.

Judges of the finals were as follows: A. C. Sprague '21, instructor in English and tutor in the Division of Modern Languages, I. L. Winter '86, associate professor of Public Speaking, Emeritus, and R. L. Hawkins '03, associate professor of French.

The Pasteur Medal was first given in 1898 by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, to be awarded annually thereafter to the successful candidate in a debate on a subject to be drawn from' contemporary French politics.
