This afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, the 1933 track forces will open their season when they match strides with the Andover team in the Case Memorial Baseball Cage at Andover.
Five running and four field events have been scheduled. On paper the Freshmen appear to have an advantage in the runs but in the field events, the two teams appear to be evenly pitted. Inasmuch as this is the first meet of the season for the first year men, prognostication is difficult; however, the flashy track men who participated in cross country in the fall should comprise a good nucleus for a strong squad.
Andover's strength is also hard to gauge; the schoolboys have, however, triumphed in their one meet so far, a 48 to 33 victory over Bridgton Academy.
The Freshmen may have several potential stars. Some of those who have shown up well in practice include N. P. Dodge '33, H. F. Kollmeyer '33, R. P. Wesley '33, and R. G. Werner '33.
