UNIVERSITY FENCERS TO FACE ARMY IN WEST POINT

Swordsmen Leave Today to Meet Fifth Opponent After Season Unmarred by Defeat

This afternoon, the University fencing team will leave for West Point, where it will be entered in its fifth meet of the season with the United States Military Academy swordsmen tomorrow.

The Harvard fencers have been undefeated in intercollegiate competition so far; last Saturday they beat the University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia, 9-8, and the day before New York University was defeated at the Hotel Ambassador, 10-7. In the former of these two meets, L. C. Winter '31 starred for the University by taking over all of his sabre matches, while in the foils. H. B. Wesselman '31 won two of his three competitions.

The West Point team is reported to be unusually good, the epee team having recently won a triangular match in New York City.

Eight men and Coach Rene Peroy will represent Harvard, leaving Cambridge this afternoon for New York.
