By a burst of scoring in the second half, the University soccer team easily defeated Tufts college yesterday afternoon on the field behind the Business School, 6 to 0.
Harvard started very slowly, as against M. I. T., scoring no goals in the first quarter, and only one in the second, when W. D. Carter '31 tallied on a penalty kick. In the third period, however, the Crimson became organized. W. D. Vogel '31 headed in Carter's free kick, and immediately after, turned in a corner kick with the side of his foot. Three more goals were scored before the end of the game.
This afternoon at 12 o'clock the Freshman soccer team will meet Tabor Academy on the field behind the Business School. The teams have about an even record, with neither being favored.
