Yesterday afternoon on the field behind the Business School, the Harvard Jayvee soccer team was defeated by the Springfield Jayvees, 2 to 0. Today both the Freshman and University teams will see action, the former going to Andover, and the latter meeting M. I. T. at 3 o'clock behind the Business School.
In the Jayvee game, Springfield, which has been undefeated and holds a victory over the Yale Seconds, took advantage of a high wind at its back during the first and third periods, and was able to score once in each. When the Crimson had the wind, it made many close shots, but was unable to tally.
Engineers are Under Dogs
The University team should have little trouble in outpointing the Engineers, who have had an unusually poor season, losing every game, and being defeated by Yale, 7 ot 0. The Jayvee squad will be dressed at this game, and may play a part of it.
