After playing around last season with talking pictures and other would-be attractions the Shuberts have brought out a Boston edition of the Broadway success, "Follow Thru", and the Majestic is playing to a good house once more. This newest offering will perhaps remind some of one of the last real hits to play the same stand, "Good News". From that you can take it that "Follow Thru" is better-than-average entertainment.
Schwab and De Sylva interpret country club life from divots to the bench where the hedge is thickest. They do it in a series of scenes that are real good, and some that are not quite so good. But, all in all, the weak spots are few and far between.
Evelyn Kinder, as a young widow, does some good dancing and stirs up more than the emotions of Billy McIntyre, the sixteen year old. One of the brightest spots in the cast is provided by Martha Morton and Bobby Jarvis who do some clever tap dancing and sing, among other things, "Button Up Your Overcoat". Other snappy tunes are "I Want To Be Bad", and "My Lucky Star". You'll like "Follow Thru", we wouldn't fool ya.
