SIXTY-NINE WILL ENTER INTERSCHOLASTIC MEET

Roxbury and New Preparatory Will Vie With Andover, Exeter, Worcester for Track Honors

Entries from 69 preparatory schools and high schools have already been received for the forty-fourth annual Harvard Interscholastic Track Meet to be held on May 11 in the Stadium, according to an announcement yesterday by Adam Rhodes '30, Interscholastic Track Manager.

This year for the first time the 440 yard dash will be run in two separate races, the places to be determined by comparative times. In the past a large number of entries has resulted in serious crowding on the track. All events of shorter distance will be run off in the usual three heats, trials, semi-finals, and finals.

Andover, Exeter, and Worcester, who have formerly dominated the meet, are again entering powerful teams. Unusually keen competition is expected this year from the Roxbury School of Cheshire, Connecticut, from Newark Preparatory School, and from the New Preparatory School of Cambridge, which, according to reports, has two men each of whom alone is expected to win nearly ten points.
