QUINTET LOSES GAME TO M.A.C. BASKETBALL TEAM

HARVARD UNABLE TO COPE WITH OPPONENTS' TEAMWORK

Handicapped by the loss of Captain D. J. O'Connell '29, the University basketball team went down to defeat before the Massachusetts Agricultural quintet by a score of 31 to 27.

At the start, T. G. Upton '31 put the Crimson in the lead by netting a rebound, but Kelly then scored twice for the Aggies, quickly putting them in the lead.

After H. T. Wenner '30 and T. E. Farrell '31 again sent the University team to the fore, the Aggies began a tantalizing process of passing, waiting for an opening before they attempted to approach the Harvard goal. J. H. Ward '30 finally scored once, and Wenner added two more baskets, but Kelly and Staniseweski retaliated, and the half ended with M. A. C. 17 to Harvard's 13.

At the beginning of the second period, the Crimson seemed paralyzed by the teamwork of their opponents, who rapidly added nine points to their total.

As the end of the game approached, the Crimson showed increasing aggressiveness and nearly succeeded in over-taking the M. A. C. quintet, but the game ended with them still four points behind.
