A banquet planned in honor of the University football team by members of the Harvard Club of Boston will be held on December 19, according to members of the committee organizing the festivity. E. W. Soucy '16 will be in general charge of the dinner and will be assisted by a committee of 14 members, among whom are many prominent in the football history of the University.
Associated with Soucy on the committee will be W. C. Baylies '84, S. V. R. Crosby '91, H. S. Grew '96, J. W. Farley '99, James Lawrence '01, C. J. Swan '01, L. H. Leary '05, H. C. Clark '11, R. T. Fisher '12, M. J. Logan '15, W. B. Felton '19, C. C. Buell '23, P. H. Theopold '25, and Leo Daley '26.
Lowell Unable to Speak
Gold footballs, which are given to Harvard elevens successful over Yale, will be presented to the team at this dinner. There will be motion pictures of this year's Harvard-Yale game, and the undergraduate band will be present to provide music for the occasion. President Lowell has been invited, but according to an unofficial report last night from N. F. Ayer '00, president of the Harvard Club, he will be unable to attend. However, W. J. Bingham '16 and head coach Arnold Horween '20, are among those who have definitely accepted, and both of these will speak. It is also probable that Captain J. E. Barrett '30 and Captain-elect B. H. Ticknor '31 will be on the list of speakers.
