OPPOSE PROPOSAL TO SPLIT I. C. 4-A CHAMPIONSHIP MEET

University Track Authorities Frown on Pacific Coast Idea

Harvard's reply to the questionnaire sent out recently by the officials of the I. C. 4-A was distinctly opposed to the division of the outdoor championship into two distinct championships, one for the track men and one for the held performers, so it was learned yesterday. Practically all of the 20 other replies so far received by the organization also expressed disapproval of this change. C. E. Galston '30, the Harvard track manager, who is president of the I. C. 4-A, stated that the discussion had been initiated by a letter from a former Eastern athlete now residing on the Pacific coast.
