Engineering School Man Had Received Medal

Professor G.W. Pierce '01 of the Harvard Engineering School, who was awarded the Medal of Honor by the Institute of Radio Engineers for 1929 for "Distinguished Services in Radio Communication", has been elected an honorary member of the Harvard Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.

He has been granted eight foreign patents and many United States patents pertaining to apparatus and methods for the production, transmission, reception, and stabilization of frequencies of electric, magnetic, and mechanical vibrations.
