Sooner or later the college athletic associations which subscribe to the principle of athletics for all will provide the opportunity to play football for the little fellows. Under the present system, average players of small size give up the game in droves after entering college.

The light man is under the same handicap in football as in rowing and it would seem that the 150-pound plan is particularly adaptable to the gridiron. It has as a matter of fact, been considered by various college athletic associations.

Athletic Director William J. Bingham of Harvard recently discussed its feasibility at a weekly meeting of the college physical instructors, and it is possible that something will be done this fall in connection with dormitory football.

The difficulty in introducing 150-pound football teams on an intercollegiate basis seems to be that it would have to occur simultaneously in several colleges so that the light teams could have competition in their own class. --Boston Herald.
