"Hard to Get" opens at the Central Square this week with Dorothy Mackaill and wise-cracking Jack Oakie in the leading roles. This new product of the sound studio does not rise to great heights as far as originality or plot is concerned, but it does show Miss Mackaill that the title of the theme song. "The Things We Want Most Are Hard To Get" contains truth. Jack Oakie contributes his usual share of laughs at the expense of his manikin sister who longs for Park Avenue and has no objection to being picked up if the driver has a handsome car. The photography is unusually good, especially of the scenes in the Martin home.

"The Argyle Case" with Thomas Meighan completes the double bill. Also a sound picture and a very good one, it presents Mr. Meighan in the new role of detective, and he proves himself quite efficient in solving the famous Argyle murder, doing it in a way that will delight any lover of mystery. He is ably supported by H. B. Warner and Lila Lee.

Even the most blase member of the audience will enjoy the short Technicolor sound reel of "Mary and Her Lamb". J. A. H.
