CRIMSON SQUASH PLAYERS BREAK EVEN IN FIRST ROUND

Baker Wins Easily While Francis Loses in Spectacular Match

The first round of the State Squash Racquets tournament continued to advance slowly yesterday, although the closing hour was scheduled for last night. It was impossible to ascertain, at a late hour last night, how much longer will be allowed for the playing of the preliminary round.

M. P. Baker '22, seeded second, of the Union Boat Club downed T. B. Plimpton also of the Union Boat Club, in three straight games. 15-8, 15-9, 15-12. The feature of the day's play was the close match between Lothrop Withington '11, of the Union Boat Club, and G. T. Francis, Jr., ocC. in which the former finally won out, 3-15, 15-7, 10-15, 17-15, 17-16.

Gunn '30, 15-8, 15-3, 15-8; A. C. Ingraham '31 defeated J. L. Ware '30, 15-14, 18-15, 15-9, 15-4.
