The University basketball team, after two weeks of inactivity, resumed practice last night. The first game, with Holy Cross on the Hemenway floor, is scheduled for February 6. Holy Cross has one of the strongest teams in the East this year. It is practically a veteran team, having lost only one man, Captain Reilly, who graduated last year. In their last game, Holy Cross defeated Brown 43 to 13.

Last year Harvard defeated Holy Cross in two overtime periods. This year's Harvard team is of uncertain strength, although its record thus far shows that there is a very good chance for another successful year for the Crimson.

The Holy Cross game will be the acid test for Harvard's quintet. So far it has won four games and lost only one. The single defeat was at the hands of the M. I. T. team, which has an untarnished record so far this season. The Crimson has been further strengthened by the presence of Joseph Bailey '29, who played on his Freshman team, but who has not appeared since because of ineligibility. S. G. Burns '30, in the position of guard, is showing remarkable promise. Burns is one of the two football men who are out, W. R. Harper '30 being the other.
