In the Graduate Schools

Law School Furnish Total of Over $12,000

The results of the first-year scholarship examinations, which were held on January 5, were announced yesterday at the Law School. Twenty-nine scholarships have been awarded to first-year Law School men. They make up a total of over $12,000. Very few of these scholarships carry a stipend covering the tuition of $400, but the deficit is made up by the Law School.

The scholarships were awarded as follows:

The Shelton Hale Scholarship was won by P. A. Freund, a graduate of Washington University. The Herbert Parker Scholarship was won by W. J. Killion, a graduate of Boston College. The Rutherford B. Hayes Scholarship was won by R. C. Schaefer, a graduate of Oberlin College. The Robert T. Swaine Scholarship was won by R. C. Westgate 26. The Buchanan Scholarship was won by R. H. Guthrie, a graduate of The Citadel. Two Class of 1913 Scholarships were won by F. H. Heiss and W. A. Page, graduates of Southeastern University and Stanford University, respectively.

Ten Harvard Law School Association Scholarships were awarded to the following men:

R. E. Mullin, a graduate of Kansas University; Everett Dashoff, a graduate of Cornell University; C. I. Blare, a graduate of Columbia University; J. P. Davis, a graduate of Bates College; Milton Schilback, a graduate of the College, City of New York; J. R. Hellerstein, a graduate of the University of Denver; Herman Snyder, '27; R. A. Rockhill, a graduate of Dartmouth College; and George Rosier, a graduate of the College, City of New York.

A Faculty Scholarship was awarded to M. K. Wilson, a graduate of New York University.

Three Faculty Scholarships of $250 each were awarded to the following men:

Bernard Goodman a graduate of New York University; T. S. Jaffin, a graduate of the College, City of New York; and J. T. Owens, a graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University
