International recognition has been granted the booklets on Harvard traditions new being distributed to the Freshman Class. Evidence of this fact is afforded by a letter recently received at the CRIMSON office.
A. J. Byington '24 of Sao Paulo, Brazil, has written for two copies of "The History and Traditions of Harvard College" that sections of it may be translated into Portuguese. He says in part "my object in doing this is to give Brazilians an idea of an American University in general and Harvard in particular."
Foreign rights for printing the volume have not yet been reserved but Mr. Byington will receive the requested copies for his project by return mail.
