LACROSSE TEAM DOWNED IN CLOSE TILT WITH CLUB

University Stickmen Fall in First Home Game--Second-Period Slump Responsible

In its first game on Soldiers Field after returning from a losing vacation campaign in Maryland, the University lacrosse team was downed yesterday morning by the Boston Lacrosse Club after a closely contested struggle. The Score was 5 to 4.

At the ball, Harvard was leading 4 to 1, but a noticeable slump in teamwork in the second period gave the clubmen a good opportunity to score. The Crimson's poor defense, however, was more responsible for the Boston players' victory than was the latters' playing.
