TRINITY TEAM TO FACE NINE TODAY

Trinity Comes to Cambridge With Six Veteran Sluggers--Harvard Is Favored to Win

At 4 o'clock this afternoon, the University nine will face the Trinity baseball team on Soldiers Field in its fifth game of the season. Today's contest will be only the second for the Hartford diamond forces.

The regular Harvard lineup, which has seen service in most of the clashes to date, will probably take to the field, it was announced yesterday by Coach F. G. Mitchell. Willard Howard '28, the likely starter in the pitcher's box, will make his season's debut this afternoon. A shortstop two years ago, he was transferred into a hurler and turned in several creditable performances last spring. It is rumored that R. C. Sullivan '28 will not be able to fill his regular berth at shortstop due to a reported recurrence of the injury to his ankle which bothered him during the early practice sessions. He was, however, practising with the nine yesterday afternoon and is expected to be on the diamond when the game is called this afternoon. Should Sullivan not be able to play, G. E. Donaghy '29 will be shifted from third to fill his post.

The aggregation from the Nutmeg State is more or less of an unknown quantity. Six veterans form the nucleus of the Trinity nine, which has played but one game, a 0-0 tie with Rhode Island State. They are reported to be hitters of no little ability. With a record of 41 runs and a batting average of 317 in the four contests already played, the University team is, however, favored to chalk up another victory to its credit.
