23 STUDENTS WIN MIDYEAR AWARDS

Nine of Honor Men Receive Money From Price Greenleaf Aids -- Transfer Students Eligible

The midyear scholarship awards were announced yesterday by assistant Dean R. E. Bacon '18, secretary of the Committee on Scholarships. Twenty-three men were granted scholarships, nine of which are Price Greenleaf aids.

The midyear scholarships are intended primarily for Freshmen, although both Freshmen and transfer students may apply. In order to be eligible for one of the scholarships a man must attain a Dean's List standing at midyears.

The following scholarships were awarded:

E. L. Belisle '31, one-half the Thomas Hall scholarship.

J. C. Borden, Jr. '31, the N. P. Hallowell Memorial scholarship.

G. R. Holden '31, the Class of 1867 scholarship.

C. T. Murphy '31, the William Stanislaus Murphy scholarship.

B. M. Newburg '31, a Mary L. Whitney scholarship.

G. K. Rugg '31, the Charles Douner scholarship.

S. E. Shershevsky '31, one-half the Thomas Hall scholarship.

Nathaniel Samuels '31, the Harvard Club of Chicago scholarship.

C. V. L. Smith '31, the Abbott scholarship.

R. W. Stenberg '31, a Crowninshield scholarship.

H. E. Thorner '31, a Crowninshield scholarship.

A. J. Waterman, Jr. '31, a Mary L. Whitney scholarship.
