Showing distinct signs of having returned to its early season form, the University soccer team defeated the Massachusetts Institute of Technology team 1 to 0 in a fairly close game on Soldiers Field yesterday.

A stiff wind rendered passing difficult, and the score does not correctly indicate the superiority displayed by the Crimson team. Defensively Harvard's strength was impregnable; time and again the M. I. T. booters carried the ball past the University forwards, only to have the edge of their attack turned by the sterling play of the defense men. Although the Crimson forward line showed a marked improvement in aggressiveness, its inability to coordinate in front of the Technology goal was partially responsible for the low score.

The only tally of the game came in the second period when W. D. Vogel '30 kicked a goal from scrimmage. Captain A. M. Stollmeyer '30 starred at defense while A. W. Booth '29 was the most prominent on the offense. Fahey played the best game for the Engineers.
