Boott Prize Composition Called

Musical compositions submitted for the Francis Boott Prize this year must be in the hands of the chairman of the prize committee, Arthur Foote '74, at 158 Ridge Avenue, Newton Center, on or before April 1, 1929.

The Francis Boott Prize is made possible through a fund left by Francis Boott, class of 1831. Through it $100, is awarded annually to the writer of the best composition in concerted vocal music, the competition being open to undergraduates or to members of any graduate school.

The composition is to be written for four or more voices, this year, for chorus, with or without solos, with or without accompaniment; the words are to be in English or Latin, religious or secular, selected or original. A prize will be awarded in case a composition is submitted which fulfills the requirements of the committee.
