As a result of the recent Wilson Prize Essay Contest, four out of the seven men, winners of the only awards given, were Harvard students, it was announced recently by the board of judges. Only 14 essays out of 10,000 that were submitted were considered worthy of any prize, and these received only third place honors.
The Harvard men who were winners of the $100 prizes were: Richard Connell '15 of Green Farm, Connecticut, W. B. Pressey of Hanover, New Hampshire, S. C. Van Sickle of Springfield, Massachusetts, and T. S. Anderson of Providence, Rhode Island. The latter three took their degrees in the Graduate School of Education in 1917, 1921, and 1924 electively.
