The Harvard University Press last night announced the forthcoming appearance of one of its most important spring publications, "The Erechtheum," which will be ready next month.
This volume represents the results of more than 20 years of study devoted to the most famous lonic temple of antiquity by scholars who have been officers or members of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. There are 236 illustrations, a selected bibliography, brief discussions of various interesting details, and copious indices.
"The Erechtheum" is edited by James Morton Paton '87, Gorham Phillips Stevens Hon, '22 has measured, drawn, restored the building. Lacey Davis Laskey and Harold North, Fowhem '80 contributed to the text.
