PUDDING INTRODUCES "GENTLEMEN, THE QUEEN"

Eighty-First Annual Production to Open on April 6--To Make Tour During Spring Vacation

"Gentlemen, the Queen", has been announced as the title of the Hasty Pudding Club's eighty-first annual production, which will give its first performance on Wednesday, April 6, on Graduates' night.

J.O. Whedon '27 and E.F. Clark '28 collaborated in writing the book, while Joseph Alger '22, J.F. Bradlee '27, E.F. Craig '25, W.C. Harris '28, C.E. Henderson '28 and R.M. Whittemore '29 composed the music. The lyrics are the combined work of Joseph Alger '22, E.F. Craig '25, R.K. Straus '27 and J.O. Whedon '27.

Plan Seven Performances

In addition to the graduates' night performance which is not open to the public, there will be seven public performances at the clubhouse on April 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, and 14.

The production, as in the past, will be taken on tour during the spring recess. The opening in Northampton, at the Academy of Music' on Saturday, April 16, will be followed by a performance on April 21 at the Penn Athletic Club in Philadelphia. This performance will be followed by a dance. The trip will close with a presentation at the Mecca Temple in New York on Friday evening, April 22. As last year, the performance will be followed by a cabaret, commencing March 28. Tickets will be on sale at the clubhouse, Herrick's and Leavitt and Peirce's.
