W. C. Saeger '04, has been appointed Bursar of Harvard University to succeed A. L. Endicott '94, on April 4, it was announced yesterday. Mr. Endicott has been Bursar since January, 1922.

At the resignation of Comptroller F. S. Mead '87 in January 1925, Mr. Endicott, in addition to the duties of his office of Bursar, was given the care on the Comptroller's office, in the capacity of Assistant Comptroller. In September, 1926 he was made Comptroller.

Endicott Stays as Comptroller

Comptroller necessitate that two men be in charge of these departments. It is for this reason that Mr. Saeger has been appointed Bursar. Mr. Endicott will continue his duties as Comptroller.

Mr. Saeger, after graduating from Harvard in 1904, received his law Degree from Harvard Law School in 1907 and subsequently practiced law in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of the firm of Bulkley, Hauxhurst, Inglis and Saeger. In 1922 he came to Harvard as Editor of the Alumni Directory and the Quinquennial Catalogue. Mr. Saeger will continue to hold these editorships in addition to his duties as Bursar.

Since the Bursar's department of the University is in good condition and things have been running smoothly, no radical changes in its curriculum are anticipated. It is expected that the office will continue to function very nearly as it has under the supervision of Mr. Endicott.
