The elimination of T.E. Jansen 1L by M.P. Baker 3M, last night a semi-final round of the Sates Squash Tournament, now in progress at the Harvard Club, Boston, leaves only four of the original 64 entries still in the play.
Baker, the present champion, and Jansen staged a fast fight last night, in which Baker won by three out of five matches. Jansen won the second and third matches by scores of 16 and 17 and 8 to 15. The other three went to Baker by scores of 15 to 11, to 6 and 15 to 1.
Because of a sore foot. Baker was unable to display his usual precision and speed Even so, his game was good and if his foot does not get worse it is probable he will retain the title according to crities of the games.
Today P. M. Lenhart '27 is slated to meet E.D. Pratt '28 in the first match and Baker is to clash with F.I. Carpenter 10' in the second. The winners of those matches will then meet in the finals, which are to be held on the Harvard's Club courts either Thursday or Friday.
