The 51st Brigade, Field Artillery, defeated the 1931 polo team Saturday night by a score of 6 to 5 1-2 in a see-saw match played at the Common-wealth Armory.
A long dash by Clark followed by a true hard shot was the only scoring in the fifth chukker and the teams entered the sixth frame deadlocked, 5-5. The 1931 mallet-wielders gained the lead on a foul by Walker, who immediately turned the tables on them by a closeup shot, enabling the Artillery team to come out on the long end of the score.
The summary: Score, 51st Brigade 6, Harvard 1931 5 1-2. Goals, Needham 4, McCleave 3, Hopkins, Walker 3, Clark 2, Jenkins, Fouls, Walker, McCleave, Needham. Time, six chukkers of 5 minutes each. Referee, Major William Spencer.
