With a total of 895 minutes in the air, the Harvard Flying Club broke its former record during the past week, according to W. N. Bump '28, president of the club.
Fifty-two flights were made, the time by days being as follows: Monday, one flight, five minutes: Tuesday, eight flights, 150 minutes; Wednesday, four flights, 80 minutes: Thursday, 11 flights, 130 minutes; Friday, eight flights, 135 minutes: Saturday, 14 flights, 295 minutes; and Sunday, six fights, 100 minutes.
M. N. Fairbank '28 took his solo examination and was checked out for his State license by Inspector O'Brien on Thursday afternoon.
Candidates for the club are working daily at the East Boston Airport on the club plane, under the supervision of one of the above mentioned members. New members will be elected before the close of the season, about December 15.
