Courses Offered Students of Limited Means--Credit Given Toward Degree Degree of Associate in Arts

The University Extension Courses, offered by a commission representing several institutions of higher learning in the vicinity of Boston, will include this year a large number of courses to be given by Harvard professors and instructors, according to the current catalogue of the commission.

The courses are offered for students of limited means and are conducted in the same way as those regularly given in the curricula of the cooperating institutions. The work, beginning during the last week in September, continues into the month of May, with vacancies at Christmas, Midyears and Easter, the period of instruction covering 30 weeks. Credit is given towards the degree of Associate in Arts at Harvard, Tufts, Wellesley, and Radcliffe.

Most of the courses are supported from the endowment of the Lowell Institute, of which President Lowell is trustoe; courses running through the year cost $5, those for a half-year, $2.50.
