Medical School to Sponsor Series of Intimate Talks--To Begin Sunday

A score of free public lectures on medical subjects, to be given at the Medical School, Longwood Avenue, Boston, on Sunday afternoons during the next three months, has jusct been announced by the Faculty of Medicine. The lectures will begin at 4 o'clock, and the doors will be closed five minutes past the hour. The first of the series, by Dr. R.M. Smith '07, will be delivered next Sunday.

The purpose of this course is to provide an opportunity for the general public to become better educated in medical knowledge, at present the average person gains most of his medical knowledge from hearsay. These lectures will enable everyone to approach an authoritative viewpoint on vital aspects of this science.

The titles of the lectures follow:

January 9--"Healthy Children." Dr. R.M. Smith '07, Assistant Professor of Child Hygiene; Harvard University.

January 16--"Public Health Aspects of Venereal Diseases." (To women only.) Dr. Myrtelle M. Canavan, Curator of the Warren Anatomical Museum, Harvard University.

January 23--"Alcoholism, Syphilis, and some other Conditions as Causes of Mental Disease." Dr. H.C. Solomon '1.4, Instructor in Neuropathology and Associate in Psychiatry, Harvard University.

January 30--"The Dangers of Overweight." Dr. Lawrence T. Fairhall '15, Instructor in Physiology, Harvard University.

Feb. 6--"The Internal Secretions." Dr. Joseph C. Aub '11, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Harvard University.

March 20-- "Something about Dreams." Dr. Percy G. Stiles, Assistant Professor of Physiology, Harvard University.

March 27--"Caneer and New Growths." Dr. Shields Warren. Instructor in Pathology, Harvard University.
