The acceptance of Mr. Lowell and Mr. Hamlen of the duties formerly held by Mr. Hallowell comes as the solution of a difficult problem. The Memphis meeting of the Associated Harvard Clubs in April was being prepared for by Mr. Hallowell as one of the central features in what he called his "greatest Harvard year." President Lowell will be the executor of Mr. Hallowell's wishes in this regard. He will hold the office until the April meeting when a new president will be elected by the representatives of the Associated Harvard Clubs.
