The annual meeting of the National Head-Master's Association of Secondary Schools will take place in Cambridge this year on February 11 and 12. Plans have been made by the Harvard authorities to entertain from 60 to 80 visiting headmasters.

All meetings of the Association will be held in the Faculty Room of University Hall. On Friday evening, the visiting school-masters will be the guests of the University at a dinner in the Harvard Union, where Professor C. H. Grandgent '78 and Dean Briggs will be the principal speakers.

Several innovations have been planned by Henry Pennypacker '88, who has charge of the preparations for entertaining the teachers from the preparatory schools. In the first place, the masters will be quartered during their stay in Cambridge, in rooms vacated by seniors in Massachusetts Hall, the oldest but at the same time one of the most modern, of the University dormitories, and in Lionell Hall, one of the new dormitories just built last year. Members of the Senior class living in these dormitories were requested by the University to turn their rooms over for use of the preparatory school teachers for this week-end, and they responded unanimously. Thus the visitors will have an opportunity to spend, two nights in typical undergraduate surroundings.

In still another way will the headmasters have a chance to see college life in Harvard at close range. Plans have been made to have the headmasters take their breakfast and luncheon in one of the Freshman dining halls. Standish Hall having been assigned, for this use. Freshmen living and eating in Standish Hall will continue to take their meals at their regular place, and their presence will enable the head-masters to have informal discussions with the undergraduates sitting near them.
