STUDENT COUNCIL HAS FIRST MEETING OF 1927

DEFINITE DATES SET FOR FUTURE CLASS ELECTION

At a meeting last night following a dinner, the Student Council voted to send a resolution of sympathy to Mrs. Hallowell, widow of J. W. Hallowell '01, late President of the Associated Harvard Clubs and prominent in many Harvard graduate activities, who died recently.

It was also decided to appoint a committee to investigate the efficiency of the University Register. The Register, a directory of all undergraduate activities and organizations, of all the officers and departments of the University, and frequently known as Harvard's Who's Who has formerly appeared before the Christmas vacation, but was not published this year. H. W. Bragdon '28, A. H. O'Neil '28, and J. L. Pool '28 have been chosen to make a thorough examination of the Register, in order to suggest improvements and innovations. They will also ascertain the number of undergraduates and graduates who have been purchasing the volume.

The question of class elections was brought up. The Council decided that in the future all Sophomore and Junior class elections must be held in November. The nominations must be in the hands of the respective Executive Boards before the first Tuesday of last month.
