After topping off their home practice with a short session on the Charles this afternoon, the first and second University crews will leave for Princeton where they are to have their first race of the season on Saturday.
The Crimson oarsmen embark for New York at 5 o'clock this afternoon and arrive at their final destination late tomorrow morning.
In addition to the men who have been rowing regularly on the first two boats, T. D. Howe '28 and D. C. Gates '26 will make the trip as substitutes.
Although a time trial was scheduled for yesterday's work-out, the water on the basin was so rough that none could be held.
This afternoon the 1929 oarsmen encounter their first outside opposition of the season when the second and third crews row against Huntington and Cambridge Latin. This race will also decide which of the Freshman boats is to be ranked ahead of the other.
