SCHOOLBOY NETMEN GATHER FOR TOURNAMENT SATURDAY

Ten Schools Enter Teams in Tilt That Ends Monday

Announcement of arrangements for the Harvard Interscholastic tennis tournament which is to be held this week-end was made by W. E. Trevvett '27, manager of the tournament, last night.

The first round will begin at 9.30 o'clock Saturday morning on Jarvis Field and the process of elimination will go on all day. It is hoped that all the preliminary rounds will be played off Saturday, leaving Monday free for the semi-finals and finals.

Ten schools have already entered teams and it is expected that several more entries will come in today. Loomis, last year's winner, and Andover are the favorites in this year's tournament. The graduation of B. H. Whitbeek '29, now captain of the University Freshmen, is compensated at Leemis by the presence of Johnson, last year's individual winner. Johnson played at Newton High last year but has transferred to Loomis.

Other contenders who should be dangerous Monday are Ingraham, captain of the Exeter court team. Thomas of Andover, and Turner of Newton. Luce, the Andover ace, has been playing baseball this season and may not enter the meet.

Each school enters six men and every match is counted as one point for the winner's team.
