When Coach Farrell's track charges return to Cambridge after the Christmas vacation, it will be to face the official opening of winter practice on January 3. A busy season on the boards is in prospect for the Crimson runners who will have to defend their indoor intercollegiate laurels, won at New York last year.

Informal practice for runners has been going on since Thanksgiving, but with the opening of college after the holidays, strict training and hard work will be in order for all members of the squad. New candidates may report at that time, and will be at no disadvantage.

Few Meets Left Out

The annual K. of C. meet in Boston will be the first to test the University track-men, who will run in most of the important meets of the Eastern indoor season. Last year, in addition to annexing the indoor title, Captain Tibbets' men scored a decisive victory in the triangular meet with Dartmouth and Cornell. Prospects for repeating this triumph are bright.
