CARLTON WINS MANAGERSHIP; YOUNGMAN SECOND IN RACE

Winslow Carlton Jr. '29 of New York City has been appointed assistant manager of the football team, it was announced last night. He will become manager in his Senior year.

William Sterling Youngman Jr. '29 of Brookline received the position of second assistant manager. He will be in charge of the University Second team.

Both men have been appointed following a competition, which has been running since ten days before the start of college in September.

Carlton and Youngman were the winners of the Freshman football managerial competition last year. Carlton, who entered Harvard from Choate, was manager of the 1929 football team, while Youngman, who prepared at Middlesex, was his first assistant.

Both the appointments are subject to the ratification of the Committee on Athletic Sports.
