The migration of the University to New Haven today will be accomplished by buses trains and automobiles all leaving in the early hours of the morning.
Special motor buses will start from the Square at 5 o'clock this morning and will arrive in New Haven within six hours. A myriad of other conveyances will be leaving from Cambridge until 8:30 o'clock.
Three Routes Recommended
There are three road routes to New Haven that have been recommended by the National Automobile Association one by way of Worcester Springfield and Hartford; another by way of Providence Westerly and New London and the third by way of Providence Daniel Sony and Hartford.
There will be 20 extras state police detailed to watch the traffic on the Connecticut roads and these officers will be kept on duty until Sunday night Drivers are cautioned by the Automobile Association against cutting out of line fast driving and not keeping on the right side of the road.
This morning special trains on the New Haven's two routes the Shore Line and the Williamtic Hartford Line will begin to leave at 7:20 o'clock. At ten minute intervals after this parlor car coaches will pull out of the South Station for the game center. The Harvard Limited an all steel coach train for students will leave Boston at 8:10 o'clock. The last train starts at 8:30 o'clock.
Several thousand students left yesterday over the road and it is expected by the railroad officials that 15,000 more Harvard graduated and undergraduates will take part in the exodus today.
Drive your self cars and second hand Fords have proved themselves a popular means of locomotion for the bi annual journey and if the weather continues fair the Harvard Square garages contemplate a complete sell out today. For the students who are availing themselves of these chartered automobiles the Worcester Springfield Hartford route is declared to be the shortest. The distance to be covered is approximately 128 miles. The game starts at 2 o'clock.
