Playing the best football they have displayed this season, the Harvard Juniors yesterday defeated Yale's champion Sophomore team 13 to 0 on Soldiers Field. Coach E. S. Daniell '26, of the Crimson outfit, sent a smoothly, working team on the field that jumped into an early predominance and held the upper-hand throughout the contest.
The first play after the opening kick-off saw a 25-yard Junior pass completed which took the Elis entirely by surprise. In the second quarter, Heard took the ball over for a touchdown. His try for goal failed.
Barbee's passing and kicking, and Van Rensselaer's line playing were the most important features of the Harvard triumph. The summary follows:
Score--Harvard 13, Yale 0. Touchdowns--Heard, Van Rensselaer. Goal from touchdown--Heard. Referee--Joseph Pendleton, Bowdoin. Umpire--J. H. Crowley, Boston. Field Judge--Oswald Tower, Andover. Linesman M. W. Sonders, Milton.
