THE PRESS--

The Proposed Harvard Game

There was a great deal of discussion in the press over the proposed substitution of Princeton by Michigan on Harvard's schedule for 1927 and 1928. It has been definitely decided not to have a Harvard-Michigan game as Yale has persuaded Harvard and Princeton not to break relations.

Now comes the news that the Crimson has taken on Indiana in 1927 on October 29th., and we remember that last year Michigan played Indiana and won by only 63-0, so it is easy to be seen how much better off Harvard is going to be. For our part, and we think this reflects the views of the great majority of New York alumni we are not keon for a game with Harvard. There is nothing in common between us and we would much rather see a game with Princeton with whom we have a closer bond due to several Michigan alumni being on the faculty, their trainer, Keene Fitzpatrick, formerly being at Michigan, etc. If we are going to break into the so-called "Big Three" let us tie up with Princeton, who incidently might give us real opposition. The Michigan Gothamite.   October.
