TEAM FACES FINAL WEEK OF PRE-SEASON PRACTICE

FRESHMEN REPORT AT 3 O'CLOCK TO COACH CAMPBELL

With pre-season conditioning and the inevitable rudimentary routine of the first fortnight behind it, the University football squad will enter today the final week of preparation for the first game of the year, scheduled for next Saturday with Renssaelaer Polytechnic Institute. The squad is in good condition physically, a tribute to Coach E. L. Farrell, who has assumed this year for the first time, the duties of trainer for the football men. The only injuries of any consequence are a leg injury which will keep J. J. Maher '26 on the sidelines for three weeks, and a sprained ankle which will render Henry Chauncey '28, hors de combat for a like length of time at least.

Brunt of Kicking On Coady

These injuries handicap Coach Fisher chiefly because both men rank among the leading punters on the squad. Their absence will place the brunt of the kicking upon the shoulders of C. D. Coady '27, converted lineman, who is now playing regularly in the Team A backfield.

It was announced Saturday that L. F. Daley '27, has removed an entrance conditions in physics which had jeopardized his eligibility for the year. He was Captan of his Freshman team and the outstanding lineman on the 1924 eleven until his injury in the Princeton game which kept him out of the fray for the balance of the season. He is regarded as a fixture at guard this year.

The lineup for Team A in the signal workout Saturday was: Sayles and Saltonstall, ends; Lindner and Nash, tackles; Daley and Kilgour, guards; Adie, center; Cheek, quarterback; Miller and Crosby, halfbacks; Coady, fullback.
