THE UNION DINNER

The Harvard Union holds its twenty-fifth anniversary dinner this evening. Each year the Union has held an annual dinner, a social affair attended by the officers of the Union, prominent invited speakers, and all the members who are interested in the Union and value it accordingly. The formal gathering this evening will be a more elaborate function than has yet been held and follows the action of the Harvard Club of Boston, which recently provided its members with such an agreeable opportunity. In arranging such a dinner and in inviting eminent speakers, the officers are to be highly commended, for they are rounding out the program of opportunities already offered by emphasizing the social aspect, an integral function of any club, which hitherto at the Union has not always received sufficient attention.
